What we cover
This is not a sales pitch with a slideshow. We open the actual forms, work through the parts that trip families up, and stay until the questions run out.
FAFSA
We go through the form section by section, including the parts families get stuck on: which parent reports income, what counts as an asset, and what to do when the numbers on your tax return do not match your situation this year.
CSS Profile
Private colleges ask for it and it digs deeper than FAFSA. We explain who actually needs to file it, what the extra questions are after, and how to submit without guessing.
Applications
Bring the list of schools you are looking at. We will talk through timing, what the essay is really being read for, and where your time is best spent between now and the deadlines.
Q&A
The last stretch of the night is open. No question is too basic, and the answer you get is from someone who has sat with these forms for other families in this town.
Who it is for
Parents are welcome and honestly should come. Most of the FAFSA is filled out with your information, not your student's, and the CSS Profile asks even more. Come together and you only have to hear it once.
What to bring
Nothing on this list is required. Come with none of it and you will still get plenty out of the night.
